Fiona's story
Fiona was liberated from a dairy farm at four years old. She was not producing enough milk for the farm to consider her profitable, and therefore was going to be sent to slaughter. She had recently given birth to a son who was also going to be sent to slaughter because male calves are not considered profitable to the dairy industry as they do not produce milk for human consumption. We were able to liberate both Fiona and her son, who we named Forrest. Fiona and Forrest made their way to UNH in late September 2021, and they are living a beautiful life together as a family, safe from being torn apart as all families are in the dairy industry.
